Christmas Cookies With Kids

Christmas Lights

It is easy, cute, and tasty. What’s not to love, right?

You choose to make homemade cookies or buy some mix. Top with your favorite white icing, a little bit of black icing for the string, and MnMs for lights.

This idea came from Dessert for Two and you can see how she made it here.

Here is our attempt

Peanut Butter Reindeer Cookies

My son is all about Rudolph this year, so I’m sure we’ll be making this one.

Top your cookie with some chocolate-covered pretzels and MnMs and you’re done! How easy is that?

If you are a super mom and want to make the cookies from scratch you can see how BakerGirl made hers here.

These were incredibly easy and cute!

Ornament Sugar Cookies

I think I must really like MnMs because here is another one for you!

Decorate your ornament however you would like, add a Rolo and now you have an ornament!

If you are feeling brave you can add some sprinkles to make your ornaments sparkle.

Christmas Chocolate Kiss Cookies

You have seen a lot of these kiss cookies around but how cute are these!

The perfect sprinkles can really make a difference and you know your little ones love using every kind of sprinkle out there!

Tracey at The Kitchen Is My Playground has the best technique for making a cookie that doesn’t change shape in the oven.

See how she does it here.

We made ours using peanut butter cookie mix which paired perfectly with the chocolate kiss.

Melting Snowmen Cookies

I saved my favorite for last!

Not only is it too cute to handle but it has all of the best things:

  1. You pick your favorite cookie mix. No need to make cookies from scratch.

  2. Reese’s Peanut Butter Bells

  3. Melted white chocolate

  4. Starburst!

Yes, the noses are orange Starburst! No worries if you are not a fan, easily substitute with orange icing.

We used candy noses we found and mini Reese cups cut in half for the hats.

Happy Decorating

We will be trying all of these! We’ll take some to the neighbors, some to family and friends, and some will stay right at home for us.
