President’s Day is probably more known for a day off of school than the celebration of the president’s.

However, while the kids are home you can spend some time together learning about the holiday and the presidents.

These easy President’s Day activities will teach your little ones something while still keeping the fun vibes alive.

President’s Day Activities

#1 Start the day with this video, because why not!

You can youtube many other videos as well if your kiddo would rather watch a video about the holiday than read about it.

#2 Read about it.

If your kiddo is more of a reader, there are many books you can read about President’s Day. Here are a few of my favorites.

Plus, there are many read-alouds you can find on YouTube if that is more your style.

#3 Build a log cabin

Why in the world would you build a log cabin? Well because it’s fun, passes time, and is tasty! Also because Abraham Lincoln is famous for many things. One of the most well-known facts about him is that he was born in a one-room log cabin in Kentucky! Lincoln Logs were actually named after him.

To build your log cabin, you can use pretzel sticks and peanut butter or icing. If your house is the competitive type you can even make it a competition. See how these 2 awesome moms made theirs!

There is an activity for everything under the sun! Even President’s Day! As a busy mom, you need something easy, will keep the kids entertained, and uses supplies you already have at home. Bonus points if it teaches them something too.

These two activities check all of those boxes.
