10 Fun Christmas Crafts for Kids to Give as Gifts

Here’s the deal.

The list of people you are supposed to buy for just keeps getting longer, but that number in your bank account is getting smaller. What do you do?

Well, I’ll tell you what we do. Christmas crafts for kids to give as gifts!

Our family is huge so we draw names for each other, however, my son despises that and wants to give all of his cousins something. I love that he loves to give, but my bank account feels differently.

Over the years we have created some great homemade gifts and I want to share those with you, plus some more I’ve found.

Save some money this year and still have a gift for everyone with these Christmas crafts for kids.

10 Christmas Crafts for Kids to Give as Gifts

1. Sledding Into Your Hearts

The perfect keepsake ornament that can make you say aw and laugh. I am sure there is nothing like this hanging on their tree yet!

2. Personalized Plate

Now, how cute is this!

I love gifts that can be a keepsake and the recipient doesn’t feel bad for putting it away every year and continues to get joy from it when it comes back out of the box again.

See how to make this plate and make it last here with Play to Learn Preschool.

3. Salt Dough Keepsake Ornaments

This was one of my favorite crafts we did!

I think the perfect age is 2-3. They are able to sit still and paint their own masterpiece (while you paint what it really is supposed to look like).

It is 4 years later and our ornaments are still up on the tree every year!

4. Mistletoes

One amazing thing about daycare is the surprise gifts you receive.

My son has made me some of the best homemade gifts with his amazing daycare staff!

One of my favorites that gets put on the wall every December is his Mistletoes.

Super easy to make with footprints and all the embellishments you want!

5. From Your Buddy Elf

Everyone loves Buddy The Elf, right?

Make your little ones a fun elf and give it to someone who needs a buddy this Christmas.

The kids will get a good giggle out of this one too!

6. A Mug Made Just For You

Who doesn’t like a new coffee mug? Especially a personalized one!

Have your little ones make personalized mugs for those on your list.

It’s the perfect keepsake and functional gift all in one.

7. Pom Ornament

It’s an ornament and therefore perfect for a Christmas gift. It includes a picture, so it’s perfect for the grandparents and you can actually use those school pictures.

Plus it’s a craft that your little one can decorate with whatever colors they want.

It’s a win for everyone!

8. Custom Canvas

Perfect for that person that loves all things Christmas decor. You know that person that never has a blank spot on their wall.

The possibilities are endless. You can create a handprint into about anything. Same for a footprint!

This gift is a perfect keepsake. You might even make some for you to keep.

9. Felt and Candy Cane Christmas Tree

If you are in search of a simple and cute small gift to give to a bunch of people then look no further.

This is the perfect gift to give in bulk. Maybe you are a teacher needing a gift for your classroom, wanting to pass out gifts around the neighborhood or your church. Maybe you are just wanting an extra something to go alongside another gift.

Whatever the case may be, I love this idea from One Little Project. See how they made it here.

10. Gingerbread House Ornament

When I saw this one, I instantly fell in love!

There isn’t much better than gingerbread houses, ornaments, popsicle stick crafts, and a picture. It is everything a homemade Christmas gift needs!

In all honesty, it looks a bit more detailed so it may not be for everyone on your list but I’ll definitely be making at least a few for the grandparents.

Bonus – All Things Popsicle Sticks.

I couldn’t leave all of these out!

Speaking of popsicle crafts, there are so many Christmas crafts you can make with popsicle sticks!

Last year we chose to make Christmas trees for everyone, and I mean everyone!

Merry Crafting

Make one of each or pick your favorite and go ahead and set up that toy factory (that’s what it ends up feeling like).

You can take it one step further and buy plain brown gift bags to make custom bags.

The possibilities are endless!

These Christmas crafts for kids are sure to make the perfect gifts for those on your list. Plus you aren’t wasting your money on stuff they will forget about in a month. These are something they will keep forever.
